Gabriela Adventist Multigrade School – Brief History

Gabriela Adventist Multigrade School (GAMS) in Gabriela, Diffun, Quirino, stands as a testimony of God’s providence and the dedication of His people. The work began in 1982 when Brother Cirillo Seralde, Sr. and his family started the Seventh-day Adventist mission in the area. Recognizing the need for Christian education, they, together with Brother Rudy Claudio and family, established the school in 1988 with just one classroom and 85 eager pupils.

Through the years, GAMS steadily grew—expanding facilities, increasing enrollment, and enriching programs with the help of committed teachers, supportive parents, and generous sponsors. Milestones include the construction of additional classrooms, a stage, a hanging bridge, and the start of major projects like the school gym.

Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, GAMS continued its mission through modular and limited face-to-face learning, celebrating victories such as student baptisms and alumni growth. In School Year 2023–2024, under the leadership of Miss Leah O. Abogado, the school achieved a 4-year accreditation from the Adventist Accrediting Association (AAA).

Today, GAMS remains committed to nurturing young minds academically and spiritually—preparing students to serve God and their community, anchored in the values of Adventist Education.
